mountain top

S & B called me a few months before their wedding with a new plan. The night before their big wedding event & reception, they wanted to take a little hike with a few friends and family, and marry at dusk overlooking the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Was I in? Heck yeah!

When the day came I laced up my hiking boots and met them on the mountain.

the long and wondrous journey still to be ours

Wonderbliss Wedding Photography Wonderbliss Wedding Photography

Backyard, Vermont mountains, family, friends, a place at the table, fireworks in the valley, children dancing, candlelight & poetry.

…and I was myself,
and there were stars in the sky
that were also themselves
at the moment
at which moment
my right hand
was holding my left hand
which was holding the tree
which was filled with stars
and the soft rain –
imagine! imagine!
the long and wondrous journeys
still to be ours.

-Mary Oliver, from excerpt from Last Night the Rain Spoke to Me
